WELCOME TO POPCORN SALE 2011! LET’S BEAT LAST YEAR’S RECORD!~!
Below you will find ALL the info you need to have a successful popcorn selling experience this year. Remember, if you hit the goal of $25,000, many of the ASM’s will get their legs waxed! CAN YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN?
Keep in mind there are some changes the council made this year. Namely, they’ve shortened the time we have to settle up your sales. Therefore, we’ve had to make some changes of our own.
PLEASE KEEP THE FOLLOWING IN MIND:
- Highest sales turned in on October 17th – $50 VALUED PRIZE
- If you do not return any Show and Sell product, you get a Gift Card Prize!
- Pick up popcorn on the pickup dates to AVOID losing 10% of your sale earnings – we WILL BE enforcing this!!
- Turn in all your popcorn money and paperwork according to guidelines to AVOID losing 10% of your earnings. This is AN ADDITIONAL 10%
- As of 9-12; there are still several dates and locations available if you want to do sales at Fred Meyer, see Mrs. Clement for sign-up.
- FORMS ARE ATTACHED TO THE FORMS AND DOWNLOADS PAGE (SEE LINK ON RIGHT).

TURN IN DATES AND PROCEDURES:
PARENTS – you will need to help your Scout with these procedures. They NEED to learn how to properly organize and handle money. This is a valuable life skill! ?
Monday October 17th Turn in EVERYTHING you’ve done so far – MANDATORY
BEFORE you come to Scouts:
-Separate popcorn and donation money. Better yet, don’t mix it up to begin with.
-Count, and organize all your money (Write down the amount)
-Add up checks (Write down amount)
-Balance your accounts: the money (cash & checks total) should equal the total amount of all the checked off boxes in the paid columns of your popcorn order forms. I suggest adding up one form at a time, writing down the total on a separate piece of paper and then adding the page totals.
-Make copies of your order forms. You will turn in the originals.
-Figure out your “take order” order so far. This is all the popcorn you need to order because you did not have it to give to them. Do not order anything that you have at home and can deliver. Write down your take order neatly.
-NO POPCORN RETURNS ON THIS DAY
For the last week of sales, you will “start over” with blank forms
Sunday October 23rd Turn in what you sold in the last week!
BEFORE you come to the Taylor’s house: (basically, same procedures as above)

-Bring unsold popcorn with you – hopefully you won’t have any left!
This may seem like a lot of work, but it will make the turn in process much simpler!
